wear me roundup 2

Pin It now!

Continuing from the first batch of jewellery models that were made by our talented participants for the #WearMeEndrucks May2023 game in our FB group  (https://tipsaroundthehome.blogspot.com/2023/07/wearme-roundup-1.html), here are more models. Some are beautiful new adaptations, some are tatted from existing patterns, and some are newly derived patterns! It has become almost a given that every game throws up a few new variations and patterns to add to our directories.

6. Lella Loops - a needle tatter par excellence!

E34 - Beaded Pendant derived from the center of the doily.

7. Lea Di Palma - another frequent E-tatter! This time she sent in this elegant version a few days back.
E12 - Bracelet with Coin Beads

8. Margaret Davies - loves to adapt and tweak patterns each time she participates and this time she converted her heart motifs into earrings.  https://margaretsdesignercards.blogspot.com/
E37 - Enlarged Heart earrings

9. Meenakshi (Muskaan) Jain - I extracted a small motif from doily #28 and tatted a prototype pendant (or earring) and then tweaked the count and included beads for the game.
E28 - pendant prototype (new pattern)

E28 - Crown Jewels Pendant/earrings (new pattern)
The pendant/earring clearly showed a heart in its design and I merely needed to enhance the heart shape.

E1, E3, E28, E37 - bracelet, earrings, pendants.
Only one was tatted for the game, but I took a collective pic of some of the beaded jewellery I've tatted from Endrucks.

10. Nancy Moore - our new member had an interesting visualization ....
E7 - Beaded Edging for Queen of Hearts costume
In her own words -
"This is the pattern I will start with. I am making a Queen of Hearts costume this year and this will be perfect for the lace edging. Thank you for creating the English pattern and posting it.
This is the 2nd attempt. I want the finished lace to look like a row of queen’s heads. I like the gold thread but I think the seed beads at the top will be clear glass and I want to insert red glass faceted beads on the “crown” as well. They have been ordered and if they don’t fit, I will have to adjust the pattern. It is hard to find tiny faceted beads!"

We look forward to the completed edging and the costume!

E8 - Earrings "Trust You"

11. Ninetta Caruso - couldn't participate with a new model but her 3D earrings are timeless!
E8 - Earrings "Trust You" (2020)

12. Sally Biggers - has been creating new derivatives or adaptations and sharing the patterns as well! This time is was a pendant but she noticed a couple of mistakes and tatted a second model.
E10 - Beaded Pendant (new pattern)
This is what she says -
"As my #wearmeEndrucks challenge for May, 2023, I have created a pendant using Lisbeth Metallic Thread #325 (Gem Stone), a single Precosia 3 x 4 mm faceted Crystal bead and 10 silver lined crystal beads (11/0) around the edge of the motif.
I modified Pattern #10 from Frau Endrucks' book"

E10 - Beaded Pendant (new pattern)
And here's a TIP from Sally -
"Metallic thread was used in this pattern because I enjoy the bling it gives to earrings and pendants. Metallic threads are made from synthetic fibers so they don't absorb oils from the body, and don't tend to become discolored the way cotton and other threads will with wear."

So this is the second batch of models and experiences. Patterns can be found in the Jewellery Directory - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ns-C3xQq4CA1tjZwGxFIyKWelLJbqwXJ/view  and in the main EP doc - https://docs.google.com/document/d/17LEVftXweztBIOWh4sL4BB7bX65ssoOsOn4oXIgCepY/view
A third and final batch will be posted soon.
...to be continued

Again, we can't thank our participants enough for all their enthusiasm and work!

giftme roundup 1

Pin It now!

Paola Bevilacqua's Pitcher with ladle (E18a+E44)
 for #giftmeEndrucks March2023

Our Game of the Month for March 2023 was sort of a continuation for the February #PickMeEndrucks game (roundups in April). Having tatted all those motifs, we needed to collect and display them in a basket or bowl, etc., in order to gift. Hence we called it Gift Me Endrucks and the patterns were from the Basket Directory (which contained both 2D and 3D patterns). Of course, tatters were free to create a new derivative which we are happy to note happened as the model above shows. Some designers were requested to create a shareable pattern of their old models, and they enthusiastically complied!

#GiftMeEndrucks Mar2023 -- Endrucks 1920 Project FB group
All patterns derived from Endrucks' book ‘Die Schiffchen-Spitzen’,1920 and now compiled in ....
Basket, Boxes, Bowls Directory -

The images are arranged from Z to A, and while the participants might be few, most of them tatted more than one model from the same or different patterns!
[E3, E1, E42, etc., refers to the original pattern from which each motif was derived or adapted.]

1. Stella Marina -
E18a+E44 - “Conca Abruzzese” (Pitcher) with ladles. Sewn with beaded flowers on fabric on a hoop.
E3 - Fruit/Chocolate Bowl embellished with crystals and pearls and tatted flowers.
Both the above pitcher and bowl along with 2 other displays.

2. Silvana Buonvino -
E28 - 3D Bowl with her #pickmeEndrucks motifs strewn around. (new)

3. Paola Emilia Rotuletti -
E31 - Lacy Bowl with little knick-knacks and a tatted dove.

4. Paola Bevilacqua -
E18a+E44 - “Conca Abruzzese”. Pitcher with ladles. Pattern shared (new)

E18a+E44 - “Conca Abruzzese” - mounted and framed along with tatted butterflies and flowers/foliage. The background showing a lady with the pitcher n her head is also painted by Paola.

5. Muskaan -
E37 - Rubik's Cube Box.
My intention was to either stuff it and use as a pin cushion, or line it with transparency sheet for shape and usage. However, besides joining the 'lid' with metal jump rings, I didn't do anything further. Nevertheless it has turned out perfect for my air pods, situated cozily in my bedside drawer.

E44 - 2D Basket

6. Margaret Davies - (https://margaretsdesignercards.blogspot.com/2023/04/happy-easter-and-endrucks-1920-tatting.html)
E3 - Fruit/Chocolate Bowl
E3 - Fruit/Chocolate Bowl now laden with a tatted bouquet!

7. Lella Loops -
E17 - 3D Egg Shell and E1 - Happy Hands Butterfly from #pickmeEndrucks; all needle-tatted.

8. Lea Di Palma -
E44 - Mother’s Day 3D Basket/Bowl with a cozy little chick!

9. Krystyna Mura -

tagme roundup 3

Pin It now!
This has been a long overdue post - the final set of participants and their creations for the Tag Me Nov 2022 event in our Endrucks 1920 Project FB group. To refresh memory, Endrucks' #37 doily revealed a heart which was enlarged and then converted into an angel by Margaret Davies, and when the angle was flipped over we got a bell!
Check out the first two roundups in this series where you will also find links to the bell/angel pattern and more -

21. Liliana Tosini worked her elegant angel in metallic threads.

22. Lea Di Palma created not just the bell and angel, but worked 3 models arranged in a semi-circle!

23. Kaylyn Beattie used a single colour to work her bell.

24. Katie Verna worked both a bell and angel in different colours, adding beads to both! Her angel seems ready to take flight.

25.  Inga Madsen ever the consummate designer, made tweaks to the skirt and also added a halo. I think this also looks like a Victorian Queen, don't you?

26.  Debra Fitchen Cox, an enthusiastic participant, worked two models. Beautiful display with snowflakes in the second model.

27.  Cynthia Dooley has a pristine white model, and is undecided whether she likes is better as an angel or a bell.

28.  Cindy Dunham tatted a nice two-colour angel reminiscent of clear blue skies with a smattering of white clouds.

29. Carol Lee Parry who we know as Lelia of Stitches of Life, joined us late with her beautiful model. She blogged about it here- https://lelia-stitchesoflife.blogspot.com/2023/01/endrucks-bell.html

30.  Antonia Lai also an active participant in our group, worked a beaded model with a bit of tweaking.

31. Anita Schaeder of https://anniesgranny.com/ joined our group with this lovely two-toned bell.

32.  Anita Barry chose this woodsy colourway for her bell.

And this wraps up the round up for #tagmeEndrucks Nov2022! All images are uploaded to a dedicated album in our FB group for a quick scroll-through. Links in the right panel of this blog. We have 32 participants but more than 32 models and a few tweaked patterns including a doily!

Again, many thanks to Margaret Davies for sharing her beautiful pattern and spreading joy.

Many many thanks to all our participants for your active and enthusiastic contribution towards making this game a success and enlivening our group!
