 This is again a motif I tatted back in Feb for the #pickmeEndrucks game before my enforced break. After a fortnight at the compy I had picked up my shuttles to tat this center from Endrucks' doily #42.  

E42. It is tatted in one pass using split chains to climb out. I hate how badly the split chains came out - lack of practice I guess. However I enjoyed my little tatting break - it felt so good to have shuttles in hand again.

Worked in Lizbeth size 20.

E42+E39. And my antics never stop. Just wondering how it would look at the center of a different edging (#39)

E42 + original. But my main foray was into this snowflake made by adapting the 8-repeat center into a 6-repeat snowflake. The outer round is my own pattern. This prototype is both a trial and an experimentation. Each repeat is worked a bit differently till I finally arrived at a decision.

I named it Antiks Snowflake playing with 3 words - antique pattern from Endrucks; inclusion of ANKARS motif; and of course my own antics in designing and processing this. 

The pattern is a bit on the advanced side with split chains to climb out and working the layered ANKARS motif with a thrown ring. However the layering was deliberate - I wanted a combination of old (1920) with new (early 1990s). Although strictly speaking, I did not climb out using Endrucks' shadow chains, LOL.

Even without the outermost round, the center makes a beautiful hexagonal motif that can be tiled. 

I had started this in late Feb itself. But continued towards the finish a few days back. Even sent the pattern to Anita for testing. But with a still foggy head, I made a huge error. Instead of 6 repeats, I wrote 8 (from reference to the original E42). Anyways, more about this at another time, with pics.

This has been a long overdue post - the final set of participants and their creations for the Tag Me Nov 2022 event in our Endrucks 1920 Project FB group. To refresh memory, Endrucks' #37 doily revealed a heart which was enlarged and then converted into an angel by Margaret Davies, and when the angle was flipped over we got a bell!

21. Liliana Tosini worked her elegant angel in metallic threads.

22. Lea Di Palma created not just the bell and angel, but worked 3 models arranged in a semi-circle!

23. Kaylyn Beattie used a single colour to work her bell.

24. Katie Verna worked both a bell and angel in different colours, adding beads to both! Her angel seems ready to take flight.

25.  Inga Madsen ever the consummate designer, made tweaks to the skirt and also added a halo. I think this also looks like a Victorian Queen, don't you? 

26.  Debra Fitchen Cox, an enthusiastic participant, worked two models. Beautiful display with snowflakes in the second model.

27.  Cynthia Dooley has a pristine white model, and is undecided whether she likes is better as an angel or a bell. 

28.  Cindy Dunham tatted a nice two-colour angel reminiscent of clear blue skies with a smattering of white clouds.

30.  Antonia Lai also an active participant in our group, worked a beaded model with a bit of tweaking.

32.  Anita Barry chose this woodsy colourway for her bell.

 Over a month since I last blogged. After my last post I was on a roll, tackling so many presentations, reviews, etc., leaving me no time to blog or tat. A concerned email had me picking up my shuttles for a night of tatting. And suddenly life came to a standstill due to health issues. Oh what a tremendous roadblock! However, I am back now to the extent possible, though shuttles lie idle. 

This is part of what I did before my enforced break (I will show the 2nd motif I tatted later) -

Remember the 3D Buttercup idea I showed here - https://tipsaroundthehome.blogspot.com/2021/11/a-trip-to-beach.html. This time I converted it into reality.

This is pattern #39 from Eleonore Endrucks' book. It is the discarded trial piece. Along with one separate all-yellow motif, I curled the lace into a 3D flower ...

And also added pearls and beads in the center while sewing. There is 1 green seed bead between each pearl, and then a string of the same green beads encircling the pearls.

I like how it created a kind of wavy look. I also lifted the 'petals' for a more buttercup shape.

Another side-view to show 3D. I've left the green thread tails, intending to add some foliage when  possible.

This is one of the patterns shared for the #pickmeEndrucks February 2023 event in our Endrucks 1920 Project FB Group.

Our pattern (and idea) collection is burgeoning at such a fast pace that it is difficult to keep track. Hence we have started creating categorised Directories where derivatives will be showcased. The main EP doc will finally become a collection of mainly the reworked 44 original patterns. 7 such directories are complete. More about this in future.
