March 27 - So, after the flourish of flowers in February to early March, this is the first one that turned into a fruit.
Today (May 5) - This is how much it's grown so far. Didn't realise it was such a slow growth!
Hubby has a newfound appreciation of Nature in the sense that we quickly disregard and discard a fruit/veggie for the blemishes, etc. without realising the length of time it has taken to grow!
March 27 - The 2nd fruit!
May 2 - Growing, and looking out the window hoping for some rain. It's been a hot hot hot April without an shower to bring down the high temperatures.

The conversion from flower to fruit might be low, however considering this is an enclosed area, I think we're doing pretty good. Now every morning I do my pulmonary exercises surrounded by greenery and natural aromas.
I took more pics of my plants and beyond, to be shared later ....
Wonderful! Yes, you’ll appreciate that lemon when it’s ready at last to be used. Lemons on our tree grow just as slowly.
ReplyDeleteIt is a good life lesson/perspective in general, not merely for lemons, I believe. Thanks, Jane 💕😍
DeleteDid you take a seed from a lemon or did you buy a plant?
ReplyDeleteMarja, we bought the plant a few months back when it was merely twigs and a few leaves. We had bought it for the aromatic leaves but are pleasantly surprised at how well it is flowering and fruiting-- icing on the cake 😀😍
DeleteWell done on getting lemons, I have grown a lemon plant from the pips but it never flowered or fruited. , we are possibly too cold for lemons to grow and fruit, I have seem them in Italy many times and they are huge. Thank s for your comment I am beginning to feel better this flu was a nasty bug
ReplyDeleteGood to know you are feeling better after your long bout, Margaret 💝 I remember my excitement at seeing large citrus fruit laden on trees along roads and avenues in Italian towns!
DeleteThe lemons are growing! That's really nice, i hope they turn out good. In any case, i agree with your hubby, if you grow the fruit or veggies yourself, you appreciate them a lot more.
ReplyDeleteIf I hadn't taken pics, it would've been difficult to see how much and how long the growth period is, Lavi 😀 Now I get to enjoy the company of my verdant 'garden' again, every morning, thanks to hubby's initiative. 💝
DeleteNin, it is so refreshing to watch the beautiful flowers and fruit, and other plants every morning 😍
