....so she's a designer?! wahoo!

That's what the lovely Craftreans think, seemingly in response to the question posed in previous post.  Or why else would my name be nominated to that category for the Craftree 2016 Awards.
Well, I bow to their belief in my budding struggling attempts ; I still consider myself a learner/explorer and yes, a teacher. I was thrilled to have won the Best Tatting Tutorial 2015 Craftree Award last year !!! But this year, when the categories were announced, I didn't see myself or my work fitting in any. You can imagine my immense surprise & elation when I read Kersti's message !

While I float on Cloud 9 on my designation as a designer, I share a collage of some of my forthcoming patterns in my WIP bag - at least those that I can remember. Not to mention the countless sketches. Most in the collage are designed for the TWoT series.

Some are suspended for now, some are prototypes waiting for a tweak or a re-tat, some are almost ready to share, once I get around to nitty-gritty of pattern writing & presentation.  Hope you enjoy the oddball  'gallery' of would-be snowflakes,  medallions, ornaments, inchies, edgings, .....

If you recognise any of the patterns as one you've come across before, by some other designer, please do tell. These have all come from my own sketches and working, but obviously some elements or combos are pretty generic and my Google & Craftree searches might have missed it.

Click on the blue caption - there is no need to register. Take a few moments to check out all the other categories and nominations, too.

When I asked my DH to put his thumbprint, he flatly refused ! So now my one and only 'outside' vote falls flat ;-P

I hope my dear known as well as the invisible readers and visitors will, however, browse through all six categories and all the nominations, and enjoy some spectacular eye candy.  These are only ones that have crossed the first shortlosting threshold - there are so many talented tatters and creative projects that might have missed by very narrow margins. Please show your appreciation by voting for what/whom you like.

Craftree has made great strides in their ever-increasing database, and member interactivity. I have learned so much from my almost 3 year association with InTatters, now Craftree ! It is great to be a member of this forum (and I wasn't bribed to say it ;-P )

Many many thanks to all voters who made this possible
and my very best wishes to all nominees.

  1. Love your gallery and just voted, I love Craftree but don't have very much time to spend on the sight, so once in a while I go there. I find it not easy to navigate to things and not easy to understand. as well as there odd little messages like they are stalking you things like "shouldn't you be asleep?" just a little creepy :)

    1. Thanks Carollyn :-))) The first couple of times those messages creeped me out, too! But then I kinda liked them - there are only 4 or 5 or them, adjusted to your country clock.
Totally agree about time, though. It is one of the reasons I have limited myself to Craftree & Georgia's class. Even Pinterest has lost it's charm since I can no longer access it through my desktop :-(

    1. Bernice, I'm just so thrilled that peers consider me a 'designer'. I honestly didn't think I'd fit under any category. 'Coz I've recently been told by a well-respected authority that I might fail at the TAT program ;-P
